I am trying to locate a marriage record for John Lonsdale b) 1851 in England, and Catherine b) May 18, 1864. There is a 13 years difference between the couple. The couple lived in Belfast, Ireland during their married life but there is no record found in Ireland for their marriage.
I know that they married in 1881 possibly in England prior to moving to Ireland. Would love to find out if that is what happened. :-X ;D :(

It looks like John has been transcribed as John LOUSDALE on the Irish genealogy records. Marriage 1881 Belfast.

Is there any way I can see the image of the marriage record for the couple? Without it I can research further without the parents' name for John Lonsdale. I have the name of Catherine's parents but not John? Can you help further? :( :'(

Since we know that John Lonsdale was born in England (Lancashire), I have some possibilities for finding John's parents but there are more than one family to search. I would like to try with the family of James Lonsdale and his wife Ann taken from the 1861 freecen.org.uk. John would be the eldest child at 10. James was listed as a Railway Porter, his wife Ann was a winder in cotton mill and their son John was a rope spinner apprentice. The couple had 5 children in 1861. They lived on 54 Chaney St., Pendleton, Lancashire. I can't find them in the 1871 Census in England. Would it be possible that they moved to Ireland by the next Census? Did I find the right John Lonsdale or do I need to search further? It is a process of elimination at this point. Thank you for your help in tracking John Lonsdale. ??? ;) :-X

You can view the marriage online on GRONI's site- register, purchase a few credits (if you haven't done so already) then view the certificate.
From a free search on another site John Lonsdale's father is listed as John James

They are still in Pendleton in 1871 at 54 Chaney Street

Should I have found by luck the parents of John Lonsdale who would be James Lonsdale and Anne (Sidebottom) living at 54 Chaney St. in 1861 and also in 1871 it appears in Pendleton, Lancashire.
If that is the case then I don't have to search for John Lonsdale's parents as we have proof without their marriage record in 1881. Thank you all so much for helping in my search. :-* 8) ;) :)
