Title: Help with a few words in marriage PR of 1659
Post by: en2gen on Monday 10 April 17 19:36 BST (UK)
This marriage of Joseph Merry and Katherine Kirkeup shows them both widows; he of Snainton and she of "the same". Do I read "late of Brompton"? Also, does the last line read "in the presence of Richard Merry" and then it appears to say Francis Skelton...but then something about "wife" . I'm confused!!

Thanks,
Louise in CA

Brompton. This parish was composed in 1831 of the townships of Brompton, Sawdon, Snainton and Troutsdale
