I'm looking for the baptismal record of my 3rd gtgrandmother, Elizabeth Hughes born Oswestry 20 May 1782 and baptised at St Oswald's Parish Church, Oswestry 31 May 1782. The record I have found says she is the d. of Thomas Hughes, weaver, & Sarah but I cannot find an image of her baptismal record either in Ancestry or FindMyPast. Could anyone please point me to where I can find an image of this record where hopefully I will find more details. She married Robert Thomas at St Oswald's 26 September 1803, the record for which indicates she is OTP - but, of course, she may not have been born in Oswestry.
Many thanks
John

A transcription of the Parish Register for Oswestry can be found at Internet.org
The entry for Elizabeth reads
31st May Elizabeth daughter of Thomas Hughes, Weaver, and Sarah born 20th.

Yes, thanks, emelton. I saw that on FindMyPast. I really wanted an image of the original to see whether there was other information - and now I have just found it, with interesting results:
"Elizabeth Daur of Thomas Hughes, weaver, & Sarah, his wife, born 20th bapt 31 (May). Sarah supposed base daur of Mr. Ford by the body of Mary Richards OTP." Source: St Oswald's Parish register, baptisms.
I have not seen this disposition previously. Underlines the value of finding the original doc.
Thanks again

John
This actually reads
Elizabeth daughter of Thomas Hughes Weaver and Sarah his wife B 20th Bapd 31
Sarah supposed base Daur of Mr Ford by the body of Mary Richards /of this parish/ ...B 25th Bapd 31
These are two separate entries. The second entry does not refer to Elizabeth's mother but to a Sarah born on 25th and baptised the same day as Elizabeth.

Hi, Gadget
On further inspection, I think you are correct, for which many thanks. I was going by the dotted lines between entries but examining the entries above, e.g. for John son of Humphrey, I see that his wife is Margaret but the next line refers to a Susanna. So, many thanks for alerting me to my error. I was a bit careless there.
Best wishes
John
