Good Afternoon
I am hoping someone may be able to shed some light as to the burial place of my Great Grandmother Ethel Taylor (maiden name Elivn).
A notice of her death 6th June 1913 was sent to her husband's address in Amey Street, Dewsbury. The notice advised
"if it be your intention to remove the body for internment and provide the Coffin, please inform me by return of post, otherwise arrangements will be made with the Union Authorities."
I have no idea whether or not the body was claimed, but I do not seem to be able to find any details regarding a burial for Ethel. I have a copy of Ethel's papers from Storthes Hall, but the details of burial are not amongst the paperwork.
Any help in solving this would be most appreciated.

Hi
Some reading material on Storthes Hall suggests that some 2000 patients were buried at St. Thomas, Thurstonland. Not sure if their PR's are online but they are available from the West Yorkshire Archive Services

Hi everyone thank you, I have checked Thurston Land - not recorded as being buried there. Is the Lockwood Cemetery the same location ?

Hi
I think you are referring to the Corporation Cemetery at Lockwood which is different to Thurston Land.
Storthes Hall used several cemeteries, the closest would be; Kirkburton, Honley, Almondbury.
I would try Almondbury Corporation Cemetery but if it was a Union burial and them from Dewsbury it might have been paid for by the Dewsbury Union so could be at the Dewsbury Cemetery.
