Title: Help with Isabella (Ellerington) Robson b 1815
Post by: bramhallbill on Monday 01 May 17 17:11 BST (UK)
Hi folks
I have
Isabella Ellerington Baptised Biwell St P 11 June 1815
Married John Robson of Warden 14 May 1833
1841 Living at Fourstones 3 Children
1851 Park Shields 8 Children
1861 Park Shields Widow  6 children
1881 West Wylam 6 children housekeeper....some quite old!!!

My Questions Fourstones is Warden, Park Shields is Warton Both seem to be Chollerton/Hexam?
Would a move to West Wylam be unusual?
1871 seems tough.
If John was buried in Warden  in 1850s would it be the custom for Isabella to be buried with her family or husband?
Odd state of affairs but John ended up a pauper/ Ag Labourer. So would be be given a burial in those days?

and in answer to your other question,if they had the money to pay for a burial it would possibly close to where she dies,if her husband was a pauper he will be most likely in a public grave where he died have you looked and located his burial ?

George Lishman was a plate layer on the railway as was his brother in law John Robson. Ann Robson's mother was Isabella and George had Isabella's in his family too but the Park Shields connection  & Grandmother visiting is great. Thanks for all the bits of cement. Just wondering if baptisms & marriages would be Methodist Circuit ones. 8)
