Post by: tjh1989 on Tuesday 02 May 17 00:48 BST (UK)
Hi all

Please could someone help me with this birth transcript.I'm struggling with the 2nd (first names) and 3rd columns (parent first name - i think there is only one name here).

Thanks

I'm wondering if the 2nd column is:
Anna Maria?

William Edmund illegitimate son of Anna Maria Howes?

I don't think it is Anna as the last "a" would be much clearer, as it is in Maria.

I agree with all except Anna.  I'm inclined to go with sillgen's comment on that.  Unfortunately, I can't see a good alternative.

Can't make out the year, but hopefully Edmund will be on the next census with his mother.

Hi, for me it would be useful to see a larger part of the page written in the same handwriting. It helps me to recognise letters and letter-groups from other entries that are easier to read. Just a thought.

Image is on Family Search - Mulbarton, Norfolk 25 Dec 1861

(Think it's Ann rather than Anna - d of Edmund overlaps)
