Hi all :)
Could someone do a clean up on the edges of this photo of my late father , thank you.

I've cleaned up the worst of the damage and also slightly lightened the darkest areas with a luminosity mask.

What is the leaning object in the background on the right hand side?
-
I presumed it was a tree trunk, but of course I could be wrong. ;D
Pat

Thanks Pat :)
Mike , I think it's a tree but that corner of the original is missing :-\

I think it can only be a tree but it is curved over at a very odd angle.
-
A try from me, regards, John.

And another:

Just posted the wrong version! Wil post the right one later :(

Without "tree" and for a bit of fun.
-
Another. A very consistent community, all versions of this photo are nearly identical to the others.

My effort, :)

This is version I wanted to post earlier. I made mistakes along the way and I had to redo some work I'd already done. Frustrating but I learned a lot from them :)

By the way do you know what make and cc the bike is ...
I have a photo of me on an antique British motorbike which looks similar .. from memory
-
Looks like a beezer to me. Might be a 250cc. or even a 500cc
-
Sorry , we don;t know.
It wasn't ex-army or a Triumph.
The photo was taken before 1956 , we think it was new when bought.

The registration number is Govan, pre 1935.
-
Well I did wonder where my father would have got the money for a new one :)
He was born 1928 , The photo would be about 1953 after he left the Army.

Afraid I can't help with the bike. To the uninitiated, one looks much like another ;D
My dad had the one pictured below in the mid 50s and I know that was a 1949 Norton 500. It must have been those years '54-'57, with my brother and I as snug as bugs in the sidecar, whilst mom and dad were dressed in the obligatory huge 'leathers', dad with the gauntlets but still soaked in the rain, that determined that I would always want four wheels with a roof!!!
Many happy times were had however, with occasional trips to the coast and most Sundays spent in the Peak district. One memory springs to mind of a rear tyre puncture, the AA man came out and stuffed it with grass from a nearby field to get us home!! Halcyon days!! ;D ;D
