Hello....
Is there anyone out there tracing Bydders of Oystermouth, Newton, Mumbles😊
My 3rd GGF Robert Bydder was a mariner/Sea Captain....I have his birth and census until 1881 where he is 51 and living at Bank Cottage, Mumbles
But then nothing.....I cannot find an 1891 census for family or a record of death, nor marriage record to his wife Elizabeth Davis🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
If there is anyone out there also searching, please get in touch. I have managed to trace to my 6th GGF Thomas Bidder born abt 1730 in Oystermouth.
Thankyou

the notice of the marriage in the Cambrian has Robert Bidder of Penclawdd to Elizabeth Guy of Gower.
http://www1.swansea.gov.uk/cambrianindex/default.asp
I think the witness may be Margaret Austin.
;)
-
Little bit extra on the marriage in newspaper notice.
8th Nov 1851 in The Bristol Mercury.
Oct 30th at Swansea, Mr Robert Bidder only son of the late Mr R Bidder, shipowner and master mariner of Penclawdd to Elizabeth Guy, only daughter of Mr Daniel Guy, farmer, of Gower.

Also checked census, Samuel Davis is not with this family on census, he is brother to the Davis family just below the Guys. There is a / and Davis family dittoed after Samuel.
Abode/place family living for all bapts is Middleton and Daniel is a lab.
