Can you please read the following:
Name of the church?
Residence of the bride, Rose?
Groom's middle initial shown under 'this marriage was solemnized...'
The witnesses?
Many thanks.
-
I would say the residence was Carrigahooley,Newport(?).
Regards
Roger

The initial looks the same for the groom and the witness - O.
-
The church looks like "Francis",but I'm not confident in that.

i would say the church is in Tiernaur http://www.tuamarchdiocese.org/2009/12/newport/
The witnesses have given their names in Irish and I think that it may be Michael Mongan (O' Mongain) and not sure if first name but maybe Kate (Cáit) surname Joyce - Seoigh - that is the modern spelling.
I am not sure though.

Ah ha, thank you haywood. I did wonder if it was Tiernaur church so you seeing that too confirms it for me.
-
Thank you everyone for your help.

Isn't the church named Tiranair? It looks very clear to me! It says Tiranair at the top of the certificate and then again towards the bottom. Also, just googled Tiranair, Newport, and it says it's in County Mayo, and that is also noted on the certificate.
Maybe others have local knowledge and the Church of Tiranair is the same as Tiernaur, as heywood suggested. Anne

Yes I agree that is how it reads but could not find that. :-\
My thinking was that it was an anglicised spelling.
