I am trying, unsuccessfully, to find Michael Parker on the 1881 census.
We know from the register of the Hull Charterhouse that he was admitted there in February 1879 and died in December 1884 aged 82. It seems also that he had a wife called Jane. A Jane Parker was thrown out of the Charterhouse in 1883, but she's not on the register, which means she was someone's wife, and the only possibility is Michael. But I can't find her either.
As always, I look to kind Rootschatters to find what I'm missing.

Thanks, folks. I am now even more confused. (I don't have any subscriptions, by the way.) It looks like the Michael Sarder of the 1881 is actually the Michael Parker of our register, who is down as entering the Charterhouse in February 1879. They usually didn't bother to record the names of wives who came in with men, since the room went to the man, and no wife is recorded for Michael. Other documents, the minutes of the corporation advisers to the Charterhouse, show that a Jane Parker was "forbidden the house" because she had "seriously misconducted herself" and was "of drunken habits" in 1883. I've linked this Jane with Michael because she's not on the register in her own right, and he's the only possible contender for husband, other than a Henry Parker who died in 1867.
Milliepede, could you give me all the details of the Sarah Parker from the 1871?
