Hope someone can help me here. I am trying to locate the birth/christening of Alice Ancell who married my ancestor Henry Jones in Chartham in 1639. They were married by licence and Alice is described as:
"Alice Ancell of Chartham, v., about 24, d of Stephen Ancell, who consents, as is testified by his wife Godly Ancesll."
This would make Alice born c1615. I have found several Ancell children born in Chartham to a Stephen Ancell between 1606 and 1622 [on Familysearch] but have not found any record for Alice, and I've not seen a mother named on the christenings I have found.
If anyone can help me with this, or if anyone can help me with locating a marriage for Stephen and Godley I would be very grateful.
