Title: Industrial Schools
Post by: laraF on Saturday 10 June 17 10:55 BST (UK)

Hello,
I am a German student and currently working on my seminar paper about Industrial Schools in Ireland and that's why I signed up to this forum in the hope of finding people who are personally affected by the topic.
I would be very grateful for a response!

Most survivors of the industrial school system would be elderly now but some of their relatives have been and still are fighting the system for redress on behalf of those who were unfortunate enough to have survived these places.
You may have better luck contacting some one through Facebook.

The book named The God Squad was written by a survivor.
The children were given numbers to be used instead of their real names.
