Title: Spanish BMD?

Can anybody please tell me if there is an equivalent Spanish site to British BMD ?

As far as I know (after over 30 years living in Spain), no.
Records are kept by individual town halls and churches and if you don't know where you need to search, you are stuck.  There was some talk a few years ago about centralizing the records, but with the financial crisis etc. I don't think this scheme ever got off the ground.

Family Search have a number of Spanish records, recently updated. Not all indexed, though.
