Anyone have a tree going backwards from here, thinking Magdalene Clark snrs maiden name was Magdalene Hutton.

John Carr married the daughter Magdalene Clark 15 Dec 1865 in Dairsie,Fife,Scotland she would have been 26 years old.
Magdalen Carr possibly living in Forfarshire (Angus) in 1891 aged 50 in a district called St Mary (Dundee?) - could have possibly died aged 82 in 1924 in St Andrews Dundee.
Extra evidence her father?

Looks like when Magdalene Clark died in 1887 her husband Andrew Clark was still alive. So maybe my next step is looking in the 1891 census.
ooh Magadalene Hutton born February 1807 daughter of George Hutton and Betty Laing at St Andrews and St Leonards in Fife. (1810 is a bit out)

Think I just found a criminal case involving David Clark, from Dairsie in 1874 in the Perth Circut Court, were he recieved 15 years penal servitude. Yikes.....
Wonder if I could get records from the Scottish Archives if he was a prisoner? Maybe a photograph? hmm

Highly probable it is Glencarse, Perth and Kinross - Annie, I've never had Scottish ancestors to research in that county before :)

Andrew Clark bp.23/4/1775 Forgan, Fife, son of John Clark and Nicolace Higgie (married 3/11/1759 Leuchars, Fife). (Andrew died 7/5/1864 Leuchars, widower of Mary Simpson - informant was grandson James Clark BUT father incorrectly quoted as Andrew instead of John - mother is correct). Siblings Elspeth 1760, John 1762, Thomas 1764, Katharine 1767, Margaret 176, Robert 1773 - all baptised Leuchars.
Andrew Clark married Mary Simpson 21/11/1795 Logie, Fife - children John 1796 Leuchars, Jean 1802 Leuchars, Elspeth 1800 Leuchars, James 1802 Leuchars, Betty 1804 Leuchars, Mary 1806 Logie, Andrew 1809 Leuchars, Margaret ca.1813 Leuchars.
