They married at St Mary Redcliffe in Bristol, 28 Apr 1827. Both described as "of this parish", but of course that doesn't mean much. (From the Bristol FHS index, which doesn't include the witnesses, just that they were bachelor and spinster, and the marriage was by banns.)

Jonathan's sister Elizabeth appears to have been born in 1810 but not baptised until 1830. That's useful as it means the record includes their father's occupation: Coachman. (FreeREG)

The new details are interesting; will try to find more. :)

Jessetta SUTTON seems to have disappeared after 1841; aged about 13 years; not found a baptism for her yet. :(

Hello, I have just joined this sight. And believe this is the same Jonathan Sutton that is my 5 x great grandfather according to a family tree done by a family member.

If it is the same one, it says he was an inspector of police in Bath in 1871.

My father´s family was indirectly related to the Sutton Family.

Elizabeth P. married Henry Sutton  Sep Q 1877 at Bath Register Office. They later moved and lived in Cardiff Wales. I have researched this part of the Family should you want any more Information.
