Title: Confirmation of a word please 1696
Post by: goldie61 on Monday 19 June 17 11:00 BST (UK)
This is from a Court of Chancery document.
The plaintiff is trying to discredit poor old Thomas Slacke -
Just checking it does say 'Ideot'!

Thanks

I'd agree with Ideot.

The terms 'idiot' and 'lunatic' have legal connotations in a Chancery context. See here ...

Thanks Bookbox.
Interesting distinction between 'idiot' and 'lunatic'.
