I have a Merian Mccorquodale born 14 Sept 1812, baptised 24 Jan 1813 Craignish Argyll Scotland to parents Duncan McCorqudale & Catherine Ferguson. Trying to clarify if it is Merian or Marian, male or female.

It's Marion. The clerk was clearly not competent at spelling. You will find many instances of such spelling variations in the old records ...

I am also looking for the marriage of Merian's parents Duncan McCorquodale & Catherine Ferguson. I have info that they married in 1810 but cannot clarify. I have looked through Scotland People but cannot seem to find it.  Also Duncan' s age at marriage if possible.
