If it is the Donald Grant showing as a blacksmith in the 1841 census at Grangehill in Dyke whom you are interested in have a look at "libindx", a wonderful Moray site.

Libindx has a death for Donald Grant born c 1787 at Grangehill, Dyke and Moy,a blacksmith and farrier 12 June 1848.

(Also note that the 1841 census, if I have the correct entry, states he was born in Moray).

The above has an entry in the wills index on Scotlands People: Donald Grant 9/10/1848 Blacksmith at Grangehill Parish of Dyke Inventory.
