Looking for info on a Agusta Gurney born c1809 died 1884. Who did he marry and did he have any children. Thankyou.

Seems like this could be a woman and married to a John Gurney a grocer.

Potton 1881 census living in Horselow Street...
Augusta Gurney, widow age 72, born Tempsford; shop keeper
In same household is nephew/nieces named Endersby

....
So looking at Tempsford baptisms..
20 Nov 1808 Augusta, daughter of Benjamin & Sarah SANSOM

From Beds FHS Surnames Index CD
Augusta SANSON married at Tempsford in 1831
as did a John Gurney of Everton

John Gurney was baptised Everton on 20 Dec 1802, son of William & Ann GUERNEY

William & Ann Guerney/Gurney also baptised there, son Peter on 4 May 1804, daughter Mary on 17 May 1807 & daughter Elizabeth on 14 Jun 1810 (born 20 Mar)

Everton PR also has the Banns dated 27 Sept 1801 for William Gurney to Ann Hanson of Hartford (Hunts)

Looking at the Hunts Marriage Index available on FindMyPast.... In Hartford, in 1801 is William Gurney of Everton to Ann HOUSDEN

Also from the Hunts Marriage Index......
1824 Peter Gurney, bach to Phoebe Dixey
1832 Elizabeth Gurney, spinster to William Willymot of Warden
1835 Peter Gurney, widower to Sarah Hootton
All three were at Everton cT ... is this Everton cum Tetworth ... & was Hunts rather than Beds? or considered to be both Beds & Hunts.... as the Beds FHS Surnames Index CD lists these three marriages in Everton/Tetworth

My John Gurney was born 1809 and his parents were peter and Elizabeth Gurney.They did have a son called Peter but he was born 1818.

As per 1841 census John Gurney was age 40 & living in Everton with wife Augusta age 30
As per 1851 census John Gurney was age 48 born Everton & living in Everton with wife Augusta age 42 born Tempsford
As per 1861 census living at Ostler Street Potton, John Gurney was age 59 born Everton, Grocer & living with wife Augusta age 52  born Tempsford
John Gurney death index Jun 1867 Biggleswade RD  age 64

Thus I conclude the John Gurney who married Augusta is NOT your John Gurney who was son of Peter & Elizabeth Gurney, born 1809

So he was baptised 1 Jan 1809 at Biggleswade, born Oct 13 1808
There's a marriage at Biggleswade of John Gurney, bach to Lucy Humphrey, spinster on 14 Dec 1828
