Title: Changing Surname Interests list on profile
Post by: Martha5964 on Sunday 02 July 17 23:51 BST (UK)
I'd like to update the list of surnames I'm researching which appear at the bottom of my profile but can't figure out how to do it. I've tried 'modify profile' and looked at the Help page but I'm still stuck.

Would appreciate guidance from someone more familiar with the website.

Hi :)

Welcome to Rootschat.

Under "Modify Profile", you should see one that says Forum Profile, click on that, and you will see the Surname Interests where you first entered your names.

Edited:  When you click on the Profile up on the Brown Bar, the drop down box will show Forum Profile.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, when I click on 'profile' on the brown bar the only options I get are 'summary' and 'account settings'. When I click on 'modify profile' the options are ' account settings' and 'ignore topics options'. None of these lead to an option to change the surname interests list.

I think the problem could be that it is your first post, and until you have three posts, then the system will not let you in to modify.   Try posting one more time with a smiley and then have a go. :)

Hi Martha,

New members with only 1 post are unable to access all functions until they have made a couple of posts as Kiwi spotted, you should be ok now :)
