The owner of this blog provides research into Waterloo soldiers
https://www.waterloomen.com/regiments
£15 for a report on an individual.
He has also produced a booklet on the men of Northamptonshire who fought in the battle. It's basic but interesting and informative nonetheless. Cost £6.
Leicestershire Waterloo Men is in the offing.

Hi I just found your post thankyou. Does the booklet have any personal information about the soldiers from Northamptonshire? :)

It depends on the soldier. Usually his home place is known, date of enlistment, age at the time, unit served in and date of death. His trade might be given also. Have you a name you're researching?

Thanks for your reply. I am searching for Gunner John Bradford - according to his sons birth cert he was in Valenciennes France in 1817. He wa in the Royal Horse Artillery 3rd Battalion and he was possibly from Northamptonshire as his son William went to live there (Wellingborough) when he left the army. John was married to Elizabeth - many thanks

No Bradford from Northamptonshire I'm afraid. I'll PM you the authors email and you can ask him if he has your man on his list of Waterloo men.

I'll look at this one. There was a William STAINES in the 95th rifles at Waterloo. Born 1781 at Helmsford Essex. Enlisted 1814. He was wounded. Discharged in 1826. Nothing else on this chap but he MIGHT be an ancestor
