I am looking for any info on James Foot/e b. abt1870 dont know where died 1942 Hokitika and his wife Mary nee Marshall she b. abt1863 dont know where she died 1931. Hokitika. Thanks lnr

Here are details of their marriage 23 April 1892 Hokitika
James Foote 22 miner born Hokitika son of Cornelious Foote and Marion Mckenzie carpenter
Mary Johnson 28 widow 14 Sep 1889 born Eccleston Cheshire England d of James Marshall and Ann nee Griffiths gardener.
On the 1896 electoral rolls Hokitika Mary is living with James' mom and dad.
1900 and they are at Westland and Cornelious Foot labourer is still with them.
It seems James was born at Hokitika 22 June 1870.
Father Cornelious is buried at Westland age 78 17 June 1913 prebyterian and Marion 20 Sep 1919 age 72
Mary Ellen 's father James Marshall was also buried in NZ at Hokitika 24.4.1908 age 74 Anglican.
There is a marriage for James Marshall and Ann Griffith at Walton on the Hill Lancashire 5.2.1858 age 24 and 20 fathers James Marshall silk weaver and William Griffiths gardener .Both give their address as Miles St and James is a gardener.
Their daughter's birth is registered Sep 1862 at Great Broughton 8A 373 and her birth date looks to be 9 Sep 1862.
She was baptised at Eccleston 13 Oct 1862 and her father is described as a gardener and her brother Frank 26 May 1861.There is a older brother Ernest registered June 1859 and bapt 12.6.1859
It looks like Ernest was buried at Hokitika 6 Nov 1877 Anglican and an Ann perhaps his mother 3 June 1877.
