Can anyone help me read this writing? Interested in Annie Doyles address (and if its still there) and what her fathers profession was...I cant make it out. I also cant find anything about her before this. :( She went on to marry my Great grandpa William Wallace Cowie in India after her first hubby died.
Thanks!

Hi Harper 7,
After just a quick scan, my thoughts are (possibly) Kenilworth Grove Rathgar and the father's occupation being some type of traveller. Hopefully someone more experienced will be able to help

I would agree ;D
-
I thought "Square" rather than Grove and "coml (abbreviated) traveller"
-
There does not appear to be a Kenilworth Grove so definately Square

Fathers occupation Commercial Traveller

I'd looked at an old Dublin map which had Kenilworth Road and Square but not Grove.
As part of checking spotted the prices that some houses in the Square are commanding today - eye watering!

Not that its a great help but one of the witnesses was Amelia Jane Moss perhaps she was her employer ?
1911

Amelia was born 1850 her father William was a doctor

Wow! Thanks, that's a big help! I see the square on the map! Now to see if I can find her parents.

When you look at the 1889 marraige to William Jones WHITING LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1889/10750/5920235.pdf)
the witnesses were:
Amelia Jane MOSS, Thomas CARROLL, Maggie DOYLE and Mary DOYLE
dathai earlier gave the 1862 baptism of Amelia MOSS DoB Aug 13 1850
on the same page and the following page are the baptisms of her three sisters
Elizabeth DoB Oct 29 1848 m. Arthur HUGHES Jun 06 1877
Phoebe Anna DoB May 24 1852 m. Ramsay Heatley TRAQUAIR LINK (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramsay_Traquair) of interest
Mary Teresa DoB Apr 16 1854 m. William ELVERY Aug 10 1881
There was also an elder brother William Richardson MOSS
When you look at these marraiges there are merchants and army personnel referred too which to me could indicate that Annie Charlotte DOYLE was a relative or visitor with the MOSS family rather than a servant.
Noting the two names Maggie and Mary DOYLE as witnesses but also aware of being common names; they may be related to Annie
Also the fact her father is deceased - you may be able to locate his death
