Looking for help in finding a record of the birth of Diana Griffiths.
In 1845 she married Thomas Bowles in Norwich, her father's name was David Griffiths (soldier).
On 1851 census her birth was 1809 Gibraltar. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is a strange one.
Saw on the 1851 census that Diana had an 18 year old son, Thomas, born Norwich.
She must have been married previously - does it indicate widow on the marriage certificate?

This looks like the baptism of the Thomas I mentioned earlier
November 14 1832.

The same address was sometimes given by both parties possibly so that the banns only needed to be called in one parish

Thank you all for info sofar.
Look like Thomas Bowles and Diana were living together before 1845.
In 1843 they had a son David Griffiths Bowles then in 1846 they had Mary Ann Bowles and had droped the Griffiths.
Diana's father was in the army and look like he was stationed in Gibraltar, are there any records for births families serving abroad.

You may have to do a little military reading and find out which regiment was stationed in Norwich 1805 for David Griffiths to marry Lydia (Wicker looks like in banns register) and Gibraltar in 1809 for the birth of Diana.
With the surname Griffiths David was probably Welsh so his military file will be essential to go back further.
