Hi All,
I've just found out that my family came from Sligo. Or at least my 4xggrandparents (Thomas & Bridget Fallon) had a daughter Catherine born abt 1837 in Sligo somewhere.
I know they had arrived in Scotland about 1838.
If anyone has access to either of the resources below..
>> 1823-38: Tithe Books
>> 1832-1837: Voters registered in Sligo borough. Parliamentary Papers 1837, Reports from Committees, Vol. II (2), 193-6
I don't know if Thomas would appear? But I would love to get information on any Fallon or Fallen or variant.
Thanks in advance,
Pam

I've actually found 1828 online.
So I'll leave the post open to share the resource but I'm nearly certain that my lot come from Carrowdarny in Shancough the names of all the men fit perfectly with names that travelled down my family.

If anyone has any later tithes or the voters I'd appreciate it.
Ta,
Pam
