Title: Doreen T Bodsworth b 30 Jul 1913 London

The above was the daughter of Charles David and Daisy nee Stringer, she emigrated to NZ via Freemantle 3 Jul 1946 on ship Largs Bay, her parents emigrated 6 Nov 1948 to NZ and both passed over there in 1958 and 1971 and are buried at Invercargill, Eastern cemetery. I found them on the electoral rolls but can't find Doreen?  At 1939 she was an unemployed stage artist but by 1946 a teacher.
Help please.

What years are you looking for her - 1940 to 1946?

She is with parents in Keighley in 1945.

You may have details already but there is a piece in the Biggleswade Chronicle 23 Aug 1946 about Dorreen Bodsworth, a Biggleswade dance teacher who had left for New Zealand to marry Eric Gallagher a former soldier. It details how they met during the war . They were members of E N S A and her parents were mentioned.

Doreen's middle name was Thirza

she is on electoral rolls in England with her parents 138 Sydenham Rd Lewishan - but when she left for New Zealand her address was 16 Drove Rd Biggleswade Bedfordshire

Eric was buried at Marsden Valley Cemetery, Nelson.

Funeral directors may have some details of any family.
