Title: Is this the same family?
Post by: chloerog on Monday 17 July 17 16:20 BST (UK)
I'm pretty sure this is the same family, but I'm trying to find out when Charle McPherson was born, these census' are not helping one bit as his age seems to be off, so I cant get his year of birth correct. Someone please help me  :D
The photo shows census top 1861, 1871,1881 & 1891 being at the bottom, and yes I have put them in the right order. 😂

The ages seem to be all over the place, I think MMN is Tartlin or similar
First 3 children on 1861 shown MMN as Tartin but I suspect later Prudence born 1875 ish is shown as Startlin

On the 1851 Census Easington Buildings Whitechapel it states Charles McPherson was born 1830 St George in the east, Middlesex & Prudence Sallin born 1830 Winchelsea  ???

Charles wife is Prudence Tartlin, the spelling seems to vary. And the ages I have no idea what is happening. I thought that the 1841 census could be Charles with his parents, but I the age seems off again.  ???

1851 when Prudence is a visitor with Charles Macpherston (sp) she has born Winchelsea that seems to be in East Sussex

On the 1841 Census Prudence is living at Rose Lane Whitechapel with her parents it states she was born 1832. Her Baptism was in Winchelsea, Sussex 26/3/1834.

1851 shown as Prudence LARELIN but I think looking at it is a something different, more like Tartlin, can't find a marriage for these 2 persons

By 1851 William has married Elizabeth and says he was born Lynn

Possible baptism William Tartlin bap 1 November 1794 Kings Lynn of Annd? and Elis?
