Title: Halfway Cemetery Sheppey
Post by: Hampshire Lass on Thursday 20 July 17 07:59 BST (UK)
Please can someone help me....... I'm obviously confused!

Some years ago I obtained burial details of several members of my husband's family. I must have used an online source and also have the National Burial Index CD.

At the moment relatives are visiting from Australia and have visited one of these graves at Sheppey. Now there seems some doubt about the other graves I identified at this cemetery and although I have the plot numbers I have no idea where I obtained this information from.

Please does anyone know the likely source for burial info for Halfway?  I've checked a couple of sites and also the CD but no luck. I feel I viewed the burial register online and certainly have the plot numbers....... but where on earth did I find the information!!

Hi Hampshire Lass,

Find a Grave has quite a lot of entries for this cemetery.

Thanks Peter. That was my very first thought and I was positive I could double check on that site but our surname does not appear! I'm really running out of ideas now and although I carelessly omitted to record my source I know I wouldn't have made it up.

Was it Colin Penney's Sheppey website?

Thanks bearkat.....but not there either! This is VERY frustrating 😊

I still feel it was Find a Grave but I can't see that records would disappear from their site! Having said that the surname starts with an E and proportionally there seems few Es on their Sheerness records.

Just to say, thanks for your suggestions. Peace is restored to my world now as I remembered a KFHS CD I have and the burial records are on there  :)

If any one ever wants similar info, please feel free to message me.

Good afternoon. I'm looking for help searching a burial record and I saw your offer above. I've had no luck finding it so far. If you can help, that would be great or if you can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate that too. Name Stella Brand, born 1919, died 1920. Thank you
