Hello:

Researching a new family, BALDOCK, and find many in Arlesey in the 1500s-1600s.

Joan BALDOCK (d. 1515) m. William SKIPWITH (d. 1509). Although they were in St Albans, Herts, I believe Joan was of Arlesey or nearby. It is said her father may have been Laurence/Lawrence BALDOCK.

William and Joan appear in the 1572 Visitation of Hertfordshire, however she is noted as BUCKLAND. Other materials note she was BALDOCK.

If anyone has any information on the BALDOCK family in Bedfordshire, I'd very much appreciate hearing from you.

There are quite a few Joan Baldock's in Arlesey on FreeREG although they start at a later date than yours.

Apparently Joan remarried a William Cressy following the death of her husband.
