I have the above b1915 Providence, Rhode Island and died 1982 Johnston, Providence. His wife was Elizabeth Jardine b1917 Edinburgh, Scotland (she emigrated 1925 with her parents).
I cannot find any marriage for them anywhere??

He's single in the 1935 Rhode Island census, and they are married in the 1940 census, so that narrows down the time frame. I don't think there is anything comprehensive online for Rhode Island marriages from that time.

Oh ok thank you, I did have that info but thought I may find their marriage. Strange huh!! I wonder if they had children or grandchildren then? So frustrating. Thanks for your help.

The 1940 Providence city directory is the first that lists them together, so they probably married around 1939-1940.

They had a least 2 children, a son and daughter from what I'm seeing in news clippings about those two children.
