Title: Email - received notification
Post by: Jolyon on Monday 24 July 17 16:24 BST (UK)
Hi all,

Suddenly developed a problem with my email (Windows Live Mail - Outlook).  Message bottom right corner reads 'No new messages' when message(s) are in fact received and showing in the 'Inbox'.

Anybody out there able to tell me, in simple language please, what is wrong and, more importantly, how to put it right?

Jolyon

Have you tried rebooting your computer or whatever device you are using ?

You're double-clicking "get new messages" ?
Spilled something on the keyboard?

If you are getting your emails, able to read them, reply or delete what difference does it make??

Thank you all for your comments - appreciated.

Alan - didn't reboot at the time but no problem at start up today so fingers crossed.

Ray - no double click I'm aware of or spillage on keyboard.

Hallmark - I like very much your philosophy, and I've taken it on board, mainly because I don't have much alternative at present.  I guess I'm a born worrier.
I will see how things go.
