Hello,

My great-great-great-grandparents lived in either Ontario, Canada or New York, USA, between c. 1872 and before 1876, before returning to Cambridge, England. They had twins in 1872, and my great-great-grandfather (Frank) in 1874. They list these children as being born in Ontario, Canada in the 1881 Census,  yet in all future censuses, the children list themselves as being American-born, one of the daughters writing New York. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me if they were born in America. Their mother's maiden name was Scarr.
