Here I can't work out the bit between what seems to say "by the oathes of the said Confederates &" and "for that such your orators witnesses"
Once again, any help will be very gratefully received.

Once again a very big thank you. That was all I could think of. I can't say that the sentence is any clearer as it's another really rambling one but I expect it's legalese. It's good to have your corroboration.

If you put "and the rather for that" (with the quotes) into a search engine, you'll find that this was a fairly common construction in the C17th and C18th.
It seems to mean something like:
...instead of what has been supposed or alleged, the actuality is...[this other thing]
