Hi - I'm stuck and wonder if anyone can help me?
I'm trying to find the parents of:
Honorah Fitzgerald b 1806 according to 41,51,61 census - London Middx
married John Gibson at St. James, Westminster 15 May 1825 in presence of Mrs Green and Margaret Fitzgerald.
I've found a record for an Honorah born to a Thomas and Margaret, baptised at the Catholic Sardinian Church, Lincoln's Inn fields January 1806 with Godparents Patrick Dynnen (?) and Eleanor Grady.
But no way of knowing if this is actually correct.
I've tried to find a marriage record showing the father's name but can only find the Bishops transcript of Pallots which doesn't have it.
Any help or tips would be very welcome.
Many thanks
Val

Have you looked for the death of Thomas FITZGERALD? If you can locate his death it would be worth looking to see if he left a will, wills are often useful in identifying relationships.

Good idea - I will try that now.
thanks :)

Hi Val, Have you looked for siblings a few years either side of Honorahs 1806 Baptism?
This 1851 Census entry looks interesting;
1851 Census
Dover, Kent
Lenora Fitzgerald, 38, Head, Unm, French Staymaker, born London
Emily Fitzgerald, 27, Sister, Unm, same occp, born London
Ann Fitzgerald, 22, Sister, Unm, same occp, born London
THOMAS Fitzgerald, 65, Father, Widr, ? occp, borm Ireland
Catherine Macaskill, 25
Mary Hogben, 18
Hitty Bayler, 16
Possibly them in London 1841;
St Giles Without Cripplegate
Fitzgerald, 50, Cheesemonger, born Ireland
Emily Fitzgerald, 22
Anne Fitzgerald, 16
Worth seeing if any of the Girls have a Baptism with Parents Thomas/Margaret.
Trish :)
The 1825 Marriage is unlikely to have a Fathers name.

Oo thanks Trish. Thats a great lead and I'll search.
Thanks

There may have been another R.C. marriage service, around the same date as the official C. of E. wedding. If so, there may have been different witnesses, adding more names to possible relations.
Have you found baptisms of Honoraria's children ?
