could anyone tell me if Notwen House is still in Dumfries,  or if not,   where could I find  information about it.

Thank you to  Kay 99   and   hanes teulu,                                      yes, it was at Kirkpatrick Fleming.        I  saw it just once quite a few years ago when i first started doing my F/tree and discovered   a  half brother was born there in 1949.      I did get a copy of his birth cert   but didn't  take it any further at the time for personal reasons,  also,   he was adopted, and it was proving very difficult to get any information on him, and eventually gave up, but often think of where he might be now, and wondered if Notwen House was still in existence, so thank you again for the info and pics.  Hadn't known it had been the Workhouse though, i'd originally been informed it was a Nursing Home!
