Title: St. Mary's Church, Mary Street, Dublin birth records
Post by: npl on Wednesday 02 August 17 12:03 BST (UK)
Hello Rootschatters,

I am wondering if anyone can help or advise me please. Does anyone know where the birth records for St Mary's Church, Mary Street, Dublin would be kept? I know it was decommissioned, but I have no idea what happened to all it's records.

Thank you in advance.

Nora

Looking at this see notes and references number 8
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Mary%27s_Church,_Mary_Street,_Dublin#cite_note-8

one of the names on the baptismal register was Jobe and Mary Burnet 1726
so i tried their names on the church records on IrishGenealogy
and they also appear there

Please remember that Parish Registers don't record births - they record baptisms/christenings ;D

If you're lucky you might find that the date of birth has also been recorded.
But only some parishes did that.

Hi KGarrad,

Thank you for your reply to my post. Yes I know their information is limited, I just wish it wasn't! It can get so frustrating but what can we do?
