Hello,
Would anyone be able to find me a baptism record for Alexander MacGregor? He was born in 1895, to Alexander and and Helen S. MacGregor (Streater), who had married in 1890, in Marylebone.
Thanks,
Adam

It would appear that Alexander George Macgregor was registered in Edmonton, no baptism so far found
Was his parents from Scotland, he might well have been baptised in the church of Scotland

His father was from Scotland, born to a Scottish father and his English mother. His father died when he was 1, so I don't know if he was brought up in his mother's faith. His wife was English, so Alexander was 3/4 English.

I do believe there was another sibling born but still no baptism, actually down on a census as being born Horsey which is within Edmonton registration district
Did they all stay in England?, you might well find them on 1939 registration listings

The other siblings was John William, my great-great-uncle. He died in Leicester in 1994, after moving to be near my grandad.
Yes, they all stayed in England. Alexander's father died in Hornsey in 1933, and his mother died in nearby Wood Green in 1941. Where would I find the 1939 registration listings?

I have copies of the 1891, 1901 and 1911 censuses of the family. The 1939 registration shows A.G. still living in Hornsey (as was his mother), shortly before he moved to Brentwood with hi family.
