Thanks very much for that I thought this was the crime Robert Morris was supposed to have killed or badly injured a policeman after 1901 he lived in sparkhill at the time perhaps it wasn't a policeman? An elderly relative said that it was over a horse and the policeman hit his head must of been serious as he fled to Wales RUthin in Denbighshire changed surname to Parry his wife and children followed him to Ruthin all under name of Parry but he was buried under his real name of Morris On my grandfathers marriage certificate it states that his father was deceased when he was in fact alive living in Ruthin
Robert Morris married Mary Ann strong who lived at warstock farm perhaps someone out there from the STrong family may have some information

Hi,
Birmingham Daily Gazette 22 March 1907
" The recognisances of Joseph Short, woodcarver, 69 Avondale Road, Sparkhill were estreated at Acocks Green Police Court.
A few weeks ago he became surety of £10 for Robert Morris who was charged with assaulting two Yardley Police Officers.
Morris absconded when released on bail."
