but Genuki doesn't show any similar possibilities to explore.

Llangdenny and Langovan/Llangoven

As your link showed you accidentally went to Monmouthshire.

Llangadfan's the most likely but I'm not totally convinced.  Could you give details of the person, please - or census refs.
