Title: Census help - Charlotte Barker born 1808
Post by: centrehalf on Sunday 06 August 17 09:02 BST (UK)
Hello

Cannot find Charlotte, who was a widow when she married John William Barker in London in 1840.
She was born in London in 1808. I cannot find her in 1841 or any other censuses. Trying to find iut eventually when and where she died.
Any help would be great. Thanks

William

From Family Search:-
Charlotte Barker age 30 (rounded?) living with John Barker age 36 at Sun Tavern Gap, St Paul's, Shadwell.
Children John, 11, Charlotte 7 and Rosabell age 0.
Rosabel born Dec Q 1840 Stepney. Mother's maiden name Taylor. Elder children from previous marriage?

Does any of this relate?

All the children are shown with the nàme Barker.

How do you know she was born in 1808? Do you have details of her birth or her marriage to Mr Bach?

I see that there is already a lengthy thread dealing with Edmund Bach and Charlotte Myland  on this site ( sorry, not clever enough to give you the link - try the search at the heading)

Hello again

Yes I read that thread you mention. Charlotte and Mr Bach married in London, 1827.

As I said I cannot find her in any censuses 1841 onwards. It is the census info that I need help with.

I am trying to pin her down in census so as to eventually find her date of death... hoefully!!

thanks again
