Title: RAF in Far East WW2
Post by: scouseinfrance on Thursday 03 August 17 16:39 BST (UK)
Hi there everyone. Never been on a forum before so really sorry if I've got this wrong. I'm trying to find any sort of info about my Dad who served in the RAF as a sergeant in bomb disposal in the far east during WW2. I have a lovely photo in his uniform on his wedding day but nothing else. His name was Charles Stanley Garner. Could some one perhaps point me in the right direction

regards Lynda

Hi Lynda

Welcome from me too!

I have split this and created your own topic rather than being tacked onto the bottom of another.

There are lots of people here who can try to help you further once they find this topic.

Service Records for anyone serving after 1920 are still with the MOD.
So applying for his records would be a start.
See: https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-service-records/overview

There is a fee of £30, and you will need a copy of his death certificate.
