Has anyone heard of a place called Meenaharness is in Inishowen. I've tried all the usual places I know to look but no luck.
I found the place name on a couple of births. The registration district is Carndonagh and the children are baptised in Buncrana parish.
I did find a reference online to the Meenaharness bog in Inishowen. It's probably a local name rather than an actual townland name.
From other research I've done I think it's in the area called Illies and probably around Carrowmore/Glentogher.

Google maps is giving a spot below Lough Turk the old maps give a mountain top to the right of the lough, not that the lough seems to be on the old maps at all.

so I think you'll have to settle for it's that general area.
