Hi all,
Received a photo of an unknown Lady, possibly of Esther Thorne (nee Hunt, 1834 - 1897), or her daughter Elizabeth Simons (nee Thorne, 1871 - 1928).
Which is the most likely scenario by the approximate date of the photo and her age? :)
Thank you so much again,
J Simons

I would guess at 1880s for this one so more likely to be Esther....it's a good idea to post the back if you have as it helps with Dating.

Thank you very much Carol, that really helps! :) unfortunately I am not in possession of the original at the moment, but I will inquire about the reverse of it!

I'm afraid the bodice is wrong for the 1880's. Not much to see but the front is loose fitting & the sleeves quite full putting it in the Edwardian Era. Realistically could be up to WW1.

Thank you Jim! :)
