trying to find birth of amos holding born approx. 1821 born keysoe Bedfordshire.
need to find his family , parents or brothers and sisters. all I know he married charlotte eliza donley [donaly.] most of his family seem to have being game keepers as they moved around a lot.

A copy of the marriage certificate should give the name and occupation of his father; the names of the witnesses might also be helpful.
FreeBMD marriage reference:
Amos Holding JunQ 1838 Huntingdon 14 257 (Eliza Donley on the same page)

In case it's relevant ::)
I have a Louisa Holding in Keysoe (bn c1842) who married George Woolston she gives her father as Robert when she married. 1841 has her with Frances Holding (female) age 45 occ Farmer living Brook End, Keysoe
She has a sister Eliza who married Alfred Cunnington 30 Sep 1840
(father Robert on the marriage)

Frances Beeby married Samuel Holding, then remarries William Wise in 1850 as a widow. So Louisa is not her daughter. Robert Holding is buried at Keysoe on April 3rd 1865, aged 75, from Bedford Workhouse, but is not in the area on any earlier censuses. (I haven't looked around the country.)
It doesn't look as if there are any useful baptisms.

Thanks Steven :)
It really looks like the marriage will be necessary for Amos.
I loosely attached Amos to this family as his first son was Robert but i have no other information on them. They are extended family ::)

SteveG just beat me to it, that is what I found also :)

I've looked on the Beds FHS Surnames Index CD and can find no baptism for Amos Holdin(g) or Holden or similar; nor can I find baptisms for Louisa & Eliza (daughters of Robert)
