Can anyone help with any more history on this subject please. I know a cousin of mine owned Goldenhurst before he rented it to Noel Coward in 1926 and sold it to him in 1927. A cousin of mine now owns White Woods and some of the old Goldenhurst farm land. Just wondered if more history is available please? Thanks ivor

Have you thought about contacting the county archives?

The tithe award schedule for 1842 shows it was owned and occupied by William Deedes

It's also worth searching Google books. There are lots of references to Noel Coward but plenty of historical ones too.

Hi i believe the parish is Aldington?
In 1911 I believe Goldenhurst was being farmed by a George Hill Wheatley with wife Fanny (nee Yeld ) they married 7th January 1861 St John the Evangelist, Lambeth.

Now owned by the Comedian Julian Clary
The Deedes family Home is literally just across the road. From what I can remember (it's back in the Seventies when I used to go there) but I think it was the Farm baliffs cottage originally

I know it was taken over by the army during world war 2 and Noel Coward had to move out. Cannot find any more what happened during that time?

Hi again, so are you only interested in what happened c 1939 or the history of the farm and it's occupants?

No I cannot sorry, as I do not know myself. I am mad on history and as a cousin sold Goldenhurst to Noel Coward I am very interested in anything I can find out.
