Title: Fields/Morris/Hays family?
Post by: Cambridge on Tuesday 15 August 17 12:55 BST (UK)
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me please? My great uncle Cecil Fields married Florence B Morris in 1927 in Basford, and they had a daughter Coral in 1928. Coral went on to marry a Mr Hays ... and thats all I can find!

Could anyone help me find any other information about Cecil's life and family please? I'm not sure the geneaology site I'm signed up to is the best one...

Many thanks!

There are two possible births for children for Coral and her husband Joseph as they were in 1960 and 1965 I will PM you the information.

Hi
Cecil Fields appears to have died in 1983, birthdate given 8 Dec 1902 which tallies with the 1939 register.
Gro indices gives Cecil Fields born March Q 1903 mmn Kilby  Biggleswade, Beds.
Marriage Biggleswade ond 1887 George William Field and Clara Kilby.
The family is on the 1911 census, he had several siblings.

The problem is that a lot of records from the past 100 years are still not open to public view ::)

You have Birth, Marriage and Death Registrations (I use FreeBMD.org.uk).
And the 1939 National Register - available on FindMyPast for a price, although the indexes are free.
And possibly Electoral Registers - if the ones you want are online.

Thanks all! Yes I have the 1911 census but shortly after that they all scattered to the wind!

I'm focusing on Cecil this week!

And Joseph - that's the name I didn't have - thank you!

Thank you everyone!

That information was available on freebmd if you locate the marriage of Coral  ;)

I remember cousin Coral. She was part of the Fields family that came from Biggleswade Beds and Sandy Beds, and thereabouts. I am a relative. She was very feminine as I remember, and wore full skirts and high heels. I stayed with her mother and father when I was about 4 years old. My mother was the daughter of her father's sister.
