Title: Tom Scott, Rose & Crown, Brampton,
Post by: wendz on Wednesday 16 August 17 15:59 BST (UK)
Hi,

Hoping if there is anyone out there with some info on Tom Scott born 1906 and was a licensee first for The Old Angel, Packers Row then for the Rose and Crown, Brampton.

Family mutterings has it that he commited suicide at the age of 48 on 27th February 1955. I've not been able to find any newspaper article that backs this up, wonder if anyone out there may know if it is the truth or not?

Many thanks in advance

Wendy  :)

Hi,

This would appear to be his death record -

Tom Scott
Death Age - 48
Registration Date - Mar 1955
Registration district - Chesterfield
Inferred County - Derbyshire
Vol 3a Page 181

The death cert would clarify circumstances regarding his death.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, yes I have his record and probate so I know the exact date. I am looking for a friend of mine so I was hoping not to have to buy certificates if I can seek information elsewhere   ;)
