Title: Census Austria?

Hi all,

Were there census' taken in Austria in the 1800s like they were in the UK?

I've had a look about (Google) but can't see anything about any census'.

There are are some records. They won't be indexed/easily searchable in the same way, unfortunately.

My German is limited but so far looking through there doesn't appear any on Klagenfurt area.

In the Klagenfurt, Poggersdorf, Grafenstein of Kärnten:

Thaller (also Thaller (also seen as Taller)).
Kisten (also spelt in Parish Registers as Khristaunigg)
Lairouz (also spelt in Parish Registers as Layroutz).

I've been using the Online PRS a while now and found a number of my family but the search will still go on.
