LOST RELLIES - Needle in the genealogical haystack
Hoping some lovely someone in the area can offer some hope.
Anderson BARNFATHER married janet Smail? in 1850 Jedburgh. This is basically all the info I have been able to find despite searches - Ancestry, Family search etc etc
My Anderson Barnfather was born 1808 in Jarrow UK but seems to have crossed the border to marry in 1850 and and has since lost track of this gggg? uncle. Tried all the options I can think of without incurring tooooo much $$$$.
From that date I have been unable to locate any records or information.
Thanks in anticipation of some helpful genealogical soul out there.
Regards
Sue Barnfather

The marriage from Scotlands People:
BARNFATHER ANDERSON JANET SMAIL/FR2278 (FR2278) 11/10/1850 792/ 70 471 Jedburgh
Is this the above Anderson? Taken from online source:
"Noted in the parish register of Heworth St. Mary, Co. Durham, England
Anderson Barnfather, Jarrow Grange, born 15 Oct 1808, christened 13 Nov 1808
8th son of Fenwick Barnfather of Stanhope, Hind, and Margaret daughter of
William Anderson of Lanchester."

have you tried looking in the Keith or Huntly area - did a wildcard on barnfather and that are came up also at least two of them are brothers - James born Huntly and William Anderson born Keith - also the brother show up in the 1881 (LDS) census - boarding in Edinburgh - studying Law
Also try checking spelling differences like Barnfeather, because the local pronunciation may vary
