Title: Argentina - 19th century marriage of British couple
Post by: ainslie on Tuesday 22 August 17 11:39 BST (UK)
I have found that Harry Woodward Beckwith was buried at the British Cemetery, Quilmes, Buenos Aires on 6 Nov 1899, and that his wife , named as 'Mary Lambert' was the first to be buried there, on 27 Oct 1888.  He was aged 61, she was 49 and listed as 'a native of Liverpool'.  Harry was also from Liverpool.
In the burial record, the owners of the grave plot were Harry and his son, unnamed.
I have tried FindMyPast for overseas marriages but have been unable to find a record for this couple, and do not know if the wife's maiden name was Lambert, or whether that was a middle name.  Any help with this, and with the name of their son, would be most welcome.
Harry's last trace in LIverpool was in the 1861 census, when he was single and a broker.
Thanks in advance for any help.

What an amazing amount you have found between you while I was off the air.  Thank you VERY much.
I had spotted the Mary Lambert in the Beckwith household in that census, but only after posting my request.
I will now have to sort out your finds.
